In the 16th minute Loui Hvenegaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janick Hanuka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Janick Hanuka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgil Hassenkamm's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Mario Elmertoft sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgil Hassenkamm in the 24th minute of play forced Grund AC's goalkeeper Janick Hanuka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Virgil Hassenkamm's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Janick Hanuka was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, Grund AC's goalkeeper Janick Hanuka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loui Hvenegaard. A collision led to Grund AC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Klavs Lesemann hit a great ball. Loui Hvenegaard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Janick Hanuka made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Virgil Hassenkamm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claes Reinbacher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Elmertoft in the 53rd minute of the match. Janick Hanuka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loui Hvenegaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Virgil Hassenkamm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skårup's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgil Hassenkamm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Janick Hanuka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgil Hassenkamm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgil Hassenkamm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bent Krysel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janick Hanuka having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgil Hassenkamm in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Janick Hanuka saved Grund AC from getting behind. Svenåge Svennild kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute of the match Reinhard Hassov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Janick Hanuka showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Klavs Lesemann fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grund AC's protests and gave Klavs Lesemann a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th match minute, Grund AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klavs Lesemann to maneuver through the defense. Bent Krysel charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bent Krysel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Janick Hanuka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loui Hvenegaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Marco Krongart struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Claes Reinbacher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grund AC.
