After 38 minutes, Keld Nordendal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Børkop AC and the Havrvig AC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th minute, Kristofer Ansbøl reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eyvin Uhrbrand. The goal made the score 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Johnni Gjevnøe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eyvin Uhrbrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bendt Heyerdahl in the 51st minute of play. Børkop AC's Kristofer Ansbøl got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 60 minutes, Kristofer Ansbøl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Børkop AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristofer Ansbøl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Børkop AC's goalkeeper Mik Gansdorf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johnni Gjevnøe. When Bendt Heyerdahl came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Børkop AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bendt Heyerdahl couldn't finish the play. Keld Nordendal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eyvin Uhrbrand having to interfere. Micki Hægløv's late challenge caught a Børkop AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Børkop AC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Havrvig AC for a fine match.
