Klavs Rolig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Espen Egenhardt in the 12th minute of the match. After 28 minutes of play Ørskov AC's Eddy Pentz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Ørskov AC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Eddy Pentz hit a great ball. Klavs Rolig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Espen Egenhardt in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Espen Egenhardt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ru's supporters rose to their feet, but Espen Egenhardt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klavs Rolig breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jim Gunvad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Micael Saksel in the 35th minute of play forced Ørskov AC's goalkeeper Klavs Rolig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Espen Egenhardt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ewald Mola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Svenne Soldal hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the game, Svenne Soldal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ørskov AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ru the free kick. In the 64th match minute, Ørskov AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svenne Soldal to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Moritz Rynord sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ørskov AC's Klavs Rolig didn't even have to move. Jim Gunvad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Ørskov AC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Micael Saksel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Espen Egenhardt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Klavs Rolig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moritz Rynord kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Ørskov AC's Jim Gunvad got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ru's zone, Nickolas Staalø stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hassan Dosanjh came out of the goal and Nickolas Staalø tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Espen Egenhardt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Klavs Rolig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ru's Erling Eisvang got a free kick in the 97th minute. Ørskov AC's Jim Gunvad got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
