The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jonas Crossa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Robert Sauffaus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robert Sauffaus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Crossa, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Egelund AC's Robert Sauffaus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berthel Karas in the 14th minute of play. If Peer Flyesberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tim Wernel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marthin Gradholt having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Wernel in the 25th minute of play forced Gurre's goalkeeper Marthin Gradholt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egelund AC's Robert Sauffaus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Crossa in the 26th minute of play. After some careless play in the Gurre defense, Peer Flyesberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marthin Gradholt. The Gurre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marthin Gradholt should have stopped the shot. If Peer Flyesberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peer Flyesberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Aleks Skadborg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tim Wernel was the one to do the kick off. If Axel Skovgaards had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stephan Oslev kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Omar Folkver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henry Damsted's late challenge caught a Gurre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henry Damsted helped the player get up and apologised. Henry Damsted hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Mourits Hokfeld shot from long distance in the 64th minute, but Robert Sauffaus was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After having played for 65 minutes, Berthel Karas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gurre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berthel Karas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st minute, Peer Flyesberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peer Flyesberg took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marthin Gradholt. Marthin Gradholt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Tim Wernel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marthin Gradholt having to interfere. Marthin Gradholt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peer Flyesberg in the 78th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Peer Flyesberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marthin Gradholt was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Tim Wernel struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Marthin Gradholt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Egelund AC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herman Engbjerg during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Axel Skovgaards fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gurre's protests and gave Axel Skovgaards a yellow card for diving instead. Axel Skovgaards hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Egelund AC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gurre had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
