The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wladimir Hemmer kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Skjold's Sofus Shiel tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Erhard Gersbo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigvart Villinge in the 9th minute of play. Erhard Gersbo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Therkel Thesbjerg in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigvart Villinge in the 14th minute of play forced Skjold's goalkeeper Erhard Gersbo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sigvart Villinge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Erhard Gersbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Knud Blasius succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Skjold's goalkeeper Erhard Gersbo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Therkel Thesbjerg. Erhard Gersbo made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Therkel Thesbjerg sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Borris FC's Therkel Thesbjerg got a free kick in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Borris FC's zone, Knud Blasius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimmi Albeck came out of the goal and Knud Blasius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Knud Blasius in the 42nd minute of play forced Borris FC's goalkeeper Jimmi Albeck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had been going on for 46 minutes, Borris FC's Robin Hjarrild got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Erhard Gersbo.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sigvart Villinge to strike the kick off in the second half. Knud Blasius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmi Albeck having to interfere. Knud Blasius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Therkel Thesbjerg came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Borris FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Therkel Thesbjerg couldn't finish the play. Sigvart Villinge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erhard Gersbo having to interfere. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Skjold's goalkeeper Erhard Gersbo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sigvart Villinge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute Knud Blasius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmi Albeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Therkel Thesbjerg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Erhard Gersbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Knud Blasius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Borris FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Skjold had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
