Haagerup SIK's Reinhard Gartved played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Helle in the 5th minute of play. Sam Berti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jannich Hæggelin having to make a save. Runar Porsnæs kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Haagerup SIK's Edmund Gestrup got a free kick in the 14th minute. The long shot by Laurids Jungnæs in the 15th minute really tested Reinhard Gartved's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Sam Berti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edvardt Lannov struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Reinhard Gartved didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smerup. With an all-out effort, Smerup's Reinhard Gartved threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Axel Helle, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Haagerup SIK's Valentin Backhausen got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 27th minute Sam Berti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannich Hæggelin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Edvardt Lannov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Smerup's Edvardt Lannov got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Smerup's Axel Helle in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Haagerup SIK's goalie prevented a goal. If Johan Ledby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Sam Berti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Helle to make the kick off. Reinhard Gartved made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvardt Lannov in the 53rd minute of play. If Lucas Litske had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Smerup's Axel Helle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reinhard Gartved narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Axel Helle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinhard Gartved having to interfere. Reinhard Gartved showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvardt Lannov in the 60th minute of the match. Sam Berti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jannich Hæggelin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Haagerup SIK's Fritz Brundbjerg got a free kick in the 69th minute. The Smerup fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Smerup's Axel Helle looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edvardt Lannov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
