A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Joachim Mervig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kresten Jørgensdorf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Kargo in the 18th minute of play. Ronny Dusty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvard Reevold having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joachim Mervig in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kresten Jørgensdorf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Kargo in the 34th minute of play forced Halby SIK's goalkeeper Kresten Jørgensdorf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Thomas Kargo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bregning FV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Kargo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thomas Kargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Kresten Jørgensdorf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thomas Kargo to make the kick off.
