An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigfred Russel in the 69th minute of play forced FC København's goalkeeper Miki Embech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edwardt Bessel got free with Miki Embech in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. André Hvalkof hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Vanløse BK's zone, Marthin Voller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walter Haxfort came out of the goal and Marthin Voller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC København had won after a very even match.
