Bob Elmtoft was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tejs Meymann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Absalon Bækholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Uwe Kirkhede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gødstrup fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Blommenslyst SIK a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Svenning Bhrist, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gødstrup's Absalon Bækholm. 1-1. Gødstrup's Eskil Carlberg got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eskil Carlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Bob Elmtoft tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eskil Carlberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bob Elmtoft read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Willy Evensen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gødstrup's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willy Evensen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blommenslyst SIK's Bob Elmtoft played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eskil Carlberg in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Eskil Carlberg notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Blommenslyst SIK's Bob Elmtoft. Bob Elmtoft was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Gødstrup's Absalon Bækholm got control of the ball when Tejs Meymann tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Willy Evensen to strike the kick off in the second half. Eskil Carlberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bob Elmtoft having to make a save. Blommenslyst SIK's Bob Elmtoft played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willy Evensen in the 54th minute of play. Bob Elmtoft made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Eskil Carlberg sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Eskil Carlberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 60 minutes, Igor Sannerum mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gødstrup and the Blommenslyst SIK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gødstrup's Igor Sannerum got a free kick in the 60th minute. After 62 played minutes Gødstrup got a freekick which was hit by Eskil Carlberg. When Svenning Bhrist fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blommenslyst SIK's protests and gave Svenning Bhrist a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gødstrup booed when Blommenslyst SIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svenning Bhrist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blommenslyst SIK's Bob Elmtoft proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Blommenslyst SIK from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Tejs Meymann sped through Gødstrup's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Absalon Bækholm. After a rather tough play, Blommenslyst SIK's Thorvald Aksgren got a free kick in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Eskil Carlberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bob Elmtoft. Blommenslyst SIK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eskil Carlberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Bob Elmtoft made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Morthen Ek sent off a good shot on target. Karsten Cululejevic's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bob Elmtoft read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. If Eskil Carlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Willy Evensen struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Bob Elmtoft didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gødstrup. Gødstrup's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
