Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Åbybro AC's Torsten Tjeldflåt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benni Bordum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tejs Meymann, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 9th match minute, Blommenslyst SIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thorvald Aksgren to maneuver through the defense. Klemens Stadfeldt, 10 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 14 minutes, Tejs Meymann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blommenslyst SIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tejs Meymann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blommenslyst SIK's Bob Elmtoft played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Stjerne in the 20th minute of play. When Torsten Tjeldflåt came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Åbybro AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torsten Tjeldflåt couldn't finish the play. Benni Bordum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tejs Meymann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arvid Leuenhagen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bob Elmtoft having to make a save. After 36 played minutes Blommenslyst SIK got a freekick which was hit by Thorvald Aksgren. 37 minutes into the match, Åbybro AC's Klemens Stadfeldt broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Torsten Tjeldflåt struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Bob Elmtoft didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åbybro AC. Bob Elmtoft showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Tjeldflåt, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Uwe Kirkhede received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Benni Bordum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Åbybro AC's Benni Bordum got control of the ball when Tejs Meymann tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 61 played minutes Åbybro AC got a freekick which was hit by Lennart Stjerne. If Torsten Tjeldflåt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Åbybro AC's Torsten Tjeldflåt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bob Elmtoft narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Uwe Kirkhede fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benni Bordum, passed just outside the right post. Bob Elmtoft took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torsten Tjeldflåt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tejs Meymann got free with Benni Bordum in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 90 minutes into the match, Torsten Tjeldflåt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bob Elmtoft. Blommenslyst SIK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Torsten Tjeldflåt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Benni Bordum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uwe Kirkhede in the 94th minute of the match. If Henry Vigh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Åbybro AC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
