Sall I.F.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Hjalmar Flohr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viktor Gaardon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Sall I.F.'s Philip Gaardlund got control of the ball when Teddi Vigerust tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Rainar Larusdottir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bert Jangård came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Qadisiyah FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bert Jangård couldn't finish the play. Hjalmar Flohr blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Viktor Gaardon having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eilif Burø during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 played minutes Qadisiyah FC got a freekick which was hit by Eilif Burø. Qadisiyah FC's Teddi Vigerust got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rainar Larusdottir made a kick off. After 53 minutes Sall I.F.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Haakon Hjerring who took care of the corner kick. Haakon Hjerring made a great header on Qadisiyah FC's corner, it was just that Sall I.F.'s Philip Gaardlund managed to reach the ball for a save.
