The audience thought a goal was coming when Wiktor Haugeø got free with Wolfgang Kærtoft in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vedby's Wolfgang Kærtoft played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asbjørn Toftbjerg in the 23rd minute of play. Asbjørn Toftbjerg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolfgang Kærtoft having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Lennart Vibek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eli Goldin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Vedby's Wolfgang Kærtoft got control of the ball when Wiktor Haugeø tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Svenåge Grundtworm came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Vedby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Svenåge Grundtworm couldn't finish the play. Lennart Vibek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eli Goldin having to interfere. Eli Goldin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennart Vibek in the 43rd minute of the match. Wiktor Haugeø was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 45th minute. Hesselballe's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The Hesselballe players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vedby were winning 0-1.

After having played for 59 minutes, Lennart Vibek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vedby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lennart Vibek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hesselballe were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Vedby's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Omar Remar took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Omar Remar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wolfgang Kærtoft quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 66 minutes into the game, Fritz Helmfast was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vedby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hesselballe the free kick. Fritz Helmfast hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Lennart Vibek got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Hesselballe's zone, Svenåge Grundtworm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eli Goldin came out of the goal and Svenåge Grundtworm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Vedby booed when Hesselballe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tyge Karlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lennart Vibek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eli Goldin having to interfere.
