The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jonathan Bodholt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amin Selnø having to interfere. If Jonathan Bodholt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, Skabohuse FV's Jonathan Bodholt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amin Selnø narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Bodholt took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amin Selnø. Amin Selnø dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Spid I.F. defense, Franz Granno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amin Selnø. The Spid I.F. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amin Selnø should have stopped the shot. If Timo Hesselvang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sven Jalsbo fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skabohuse FV's protests and gave Sven Jalsbo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Sven Jalsbo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Spid I.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Franz Granno came free, but Amin Selnø reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mik Søndermølle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timo Hesselvang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Timo Hesselvang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mik Søndermølle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mik Søndermølle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timo Hesselvang's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The supporters of Skabohuse FV booed when Spid I.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asmund Græm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonathan Bodholt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stephen Wiis kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Amin Selnø took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Bodholt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Timo Hesselvang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jonathan Bodholt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amin Selnø was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. In the 75th minute Einer Gaardsdal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mik Søndermølle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amin Selnø showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Bodholt, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Timo Hesselvang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mik Søndermølle. Skabohuse FV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Timo Hesselvang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Jonathan Bodholt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Spid I.F.'s zone, Jonathan Bodholt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amin Selnø came out of the goal and Jonathan Bodholt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Franz Granno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Amin Selnø made a huge save. When Skabohuse FV's Jonathan Bodholt in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Spid I.F.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 97th minute, Franz Granno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Skabohuse FV supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Skabohuse FV would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
