When Herluf Taaensen fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Højmark's zone, August Margard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abraham Mødekjær came out of the goal and August Margard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. August Margard received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abraham Mødekjær came out and tried to block the shot, but August Margard slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 30th minute. If Vilhelm Aubertin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaj Reik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaudius Neipart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jannich Vahr was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 39 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Danmark fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! Kaj Reik went to the wrong direction when Heine Lensmark was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Abraham Mødekjær took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnny Daniels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vilhelm Aubertin struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Abraham Mødekjær didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Danmark. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ib Baunvig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Vilhelm Aubertin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abraham Mødekjær. Højmark's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vilhelm Aubertin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Oliver Lilleholt kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Johnny Daniels's late challenge caught a Højmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johnny Daniels helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Danmark getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Johnny Daniels hit a great ball. If Vilhelm Aubertin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilhelm Aubertin in the 83rd minute of play forced Højmark's goalkeeper Abraham Mødekjær to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danmark's Kaj Reik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ib Baunvig in the 86th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Vilhelm Aubertin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Abraham Mødekjær was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Abraham Mødekjær showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilhelm Aubertin, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. If Oliver Lilleholt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danmark's Kaj Reik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Danmark from getting a goal against them. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Danmark had played much better football throughout.
