In the 4th minute Roland Whyte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Qaraien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonatan Braskø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Hjortkær booed when Smørumovre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jørn Andsager didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Jim Plessow kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roald Monsen. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Jonatan Braskø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Smørumovre's Roald Monsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Plessow in the 31st minute of play. Arthur Qaraien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonny Baand in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Roland Whyte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Qaraien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jonatan Braskø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonny Baand to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Hjortkær defense, Roland Whyte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arthur Qaraien. The Hjortkær fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arthur Qaraien should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Plessow in the 56th minute of play forced Smørumovre's goalkeeper Roald Monsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jens Jenvall kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. If Jim Plessow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jørn Andsager was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 69th minute. Smørumovre's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Smørumovre's Roald Monsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Braskø in the 76th minute of play. When Hjortkær's Jonatan Braskø in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Smørumovre's goalie prevented a goal. Jørn Andsager kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Jonatan Braskø fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roald Monsen having to interfere. Jonatan Braskø struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Roald Monsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hjortkær. Roald Monsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jim Plessow in the 91st minute of the match.
