The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. August Preene sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peter Præstrud during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Klotrup FC booed when Kannikegærdet FV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Præstrud didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, August Preene fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Heinrich Dauerhøj, passed just outside the right post. August Aakjær fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heinrich Dauerhøj having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Detlef Howes in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Werner Engbo saved Klotrup FC from getting behind. August Preene sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. August Preene struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Heinrich Dauerhøj didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Klotrup FC. In the 19th minute, Micael Bøgestrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Klotrup FC defense, Bendt Kramp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Werner Engbo. The Klotrup FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Werner Engbo should have stopped the shot. August Aakjær could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Heinrich Dauerhøj made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Præstrud in the 30th minute of play forced Klotrup FC's goalkeeper Werner Engbo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Detlef Howes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Werner Engbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bendt Kramp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Werner Engbo having to interfere. Kannikegærdet FV's Micael Bøgestrand got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Bendt Kramp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Terri Gadkjær blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Heinrich Dauerhøj having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and August Preene made a kick off. Klotrup FC were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Kannikegærdet FV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teis Schøntaun took the corner. In the 55th minute, Wilfred Schouby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Wilfred Schouby got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Klotrup FC. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Klotrup FC! Bendt Kramp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Werner Engbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Klotrup FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bendt Kramp came free, but Werner Engbo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 played minutes Klotrup FC got a freekick which was hit by Ronny Sevastos. Heinrich Dauerhøj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from August Aakjær in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Kannikegærdet FV's goal looked a bit too open when August Preene came free, but Heinrich Dauerhøj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernard Skjelsager during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kannikegærdet FV fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Klotrup FC a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Teis Schøntaun, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kannikegærdet FV's Heinrich Dauerhøj. 1-2. After having played for 84 minutes, Bendt Kramp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kannikegærdet FV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bendt Kramp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Werner Engbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bendt Kramp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikolas Stausholm kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Klotrup FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bendt Kramp 91 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Werner Engbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bendt Kramp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 99th minute of the match Gerhard Finsten shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Heinrich Dauerhøj showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Kannikegærdet FV supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kannikegærdet FV would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
