Iver Gelhauge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rasmus Felsager having to interfere. Åstrup's Torkild Hadersland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Carell in the 25th minute of play. Iver Gelhauge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Rasmus Felsager tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Luis Carell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torkild Hadersland was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. A collision led to Åstrup getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Clavs Riiskjær hit a great ball. If Ansgar Purhus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. Torkild Hadersland was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iver Gelhauge to strike the kick off in the second half. Thorsten Trysen struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Rasmus Felsager didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åstrup. Rasmus Felsager made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thorsten Trysen in the 66th minute of play. Fredrik Lyst kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Sæby FV's Reiner Liljenkjær shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 71st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Torkild Hadersland but with some difficulty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fredrik Lyst during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thorsten Trysen in the 82nd minute of play forced Sæby FV's goalkeeper Rasmus Felsager to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sæby FV booed when Åstrup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clavs Riiskjær didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ansgar Purhus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Torkild Hadersland made a huge save. Iver Gelhauge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rasmus Felsager tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Thorsten Trysen notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Sæby FV's Rasmus Felsager. Rasmus Felsager was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luis Carell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Torkild Hadersland having to make a save. The Sæby FV players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
