Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Nissum's Laus Brorsen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Nissum's goalkeeper Ian Mabel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vilmar Elin. In the 7th minute, Laus Brorsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nissum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 12th minute, Vilmar Elin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ian Mabel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Preben Cassebaum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sigfrid Svenstrup came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Nissum's Laus Brorsen. But to his dismay, Laus Brorsen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Nissum's Ian Mabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hagbart Gaarfeldt in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laus Brorsen in the 34th minute of play forced Lyng's goalkeeper Sigfrid Svenstrup to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lyng's Sigfrid Svenstrup played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Preben Cassebaum in the 39th minute of play.

The wind increased when Hagbart Gaarfeldt made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Nissum defense, Hagbart Gaarfeldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ian Mabel. The Nissum fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ian Mabel should have stopped the shot. Hagbart Gaarfeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Mabel having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lyng's zone, Laus Brorsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sigfrid Svenstrup came out of the goal and Laus Brorsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laus Brorsen in the 64th minute of play forced Lyng's goalkeeper Sigfrid Svenstrup to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Jann Wandahl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Laus Brorsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Nissum booed when Lyng was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jann Wandahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Sigfrid Toftrup managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lyng's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sigfrid Toftrup was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
