The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Nørvits in the 6th minute of play forced Holleby SIK's goalkeeper Nicolaus Kolbøl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Nørvits in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolaus Kolbøl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vladimir Danling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vladimir Danling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eske Drilling hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 1-0 became the score in the 16th minute when Vladimir Danling elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 19thth minute of the game Thorstein Velgard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sønderby's Benni Herbing was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th minute, one of Holleby SIK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Holleby SIK. Wladimir Jano placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 37th minute, Paulo Nørvits hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Janick Gaasedal during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Holleby SIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Janick Gaasedal to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Nørvits sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolaus Kolbøl made a fantastic save in the 49th minute, when Vladimir Danling sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thorstein Velgard couldn't finish the play. Thorstein Velgard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Benni Herbing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Holleby SIK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sønderby.
