The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. René Semler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by René Semler in the 11th minute of play forced Davgaard AC's goalkeeper Sigvart Pereschogin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Surhave getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Anton Godballe hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Surhave's zone, Bengt Sammour stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Haarslev came out of the goal and Bengt Sammour tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when René Semler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Surhave's Jan Haarslev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Surhave from getting a goal against them. In the 58th match minute, Davgaard AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Sammour to maneuver through the defense. Sigvart Pereschogin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthon Wetterslev in the 70th minute of play. When Bengt Sammour was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. Bengt Sammour hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, Davgaard AC's goal looked a bit too open when René Semler came free, but Sigvart Pereschogin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Bertil Dybenvad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Folmer Fagsted received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jan Haarslev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Surhave's goalkeeper Jan Haarslev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, Hilbert Bjermos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Davgaard AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Surhave the free kick. After 81 played minutes Davgaard AC got a freekick which was hit by Hilbert Bjermos. In the 82nd minute, Mads Bardy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 88 played minutes Surhave got a freekick which was hit by Anton Godballe. Justin Klement sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When René Semler came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Surhave fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that René Semler couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Davgaard AC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
