Baltazar Lundhus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claes Thinggård, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Piotr Bjerborg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claes Thinggård to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Ernst Knowlton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Burgaarde FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lintrup AC the free kick. Ernst Knowlton kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The supporters of Burgaarde FC booed when Lintrup AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmi Vramming didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lintrup AC's Manfred Karhof proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Lintrup AC from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute, Jimmi Vramming got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Burgaarde FC's Piotr Bjerborg got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Claes Thinggård came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Lintrup AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claes Thinggård couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute, Markus Balzer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Burgaarde FC's zone, Claes Thinggård stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltazar Lundhus came out of the goal and Claes Thinggård tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Burgaarde FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
