After a rather tough play, Gredsted's Joseph Sondahl got a free kick in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Gredsted's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Meinsbæk came free, but Kris Ljungmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaare Rytking struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Micki Olthaver didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gredsted. In the 18th minute, Timm Fournaise got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kaare Rytking's late challenge caught a Sorø FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kaare Rytking helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Einer Jørkild during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sorø FC booed when Gredsted was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Einer Jørkild didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sorø FC's Daniel Jansdorf couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gredsted. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timm Fournaise got free with Micki Olthaver in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Freddie Lyksholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kris Ljungmann having to interfere. Sorø FC's Micki Olthaver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaare Rytking in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Gredsted's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Meinsbæk came free, but Kris Ljungmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Sorø FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Kaare Rytking made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Kaare Rytking shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Micki Olthaver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kris Ljungmann made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Kurt Meinsbæk sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute, Freddie Lyksholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Freddie Lyksholm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorø FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddie Lyksholm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kris Ljungmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Joseph Sondahl was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. When Sorø FC's Freddie Lyksholm in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gredsted's goalie prevented a goal. 93 minutes into the match, Gredsted's goal looked a bit too open when Freddie Lyksholm came free, but Kris Ljungmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timm Fournaise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sorø FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
