The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the match Justin Nordgerd shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel Cobelens showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Walder Hveger fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Øby AC's protests and gave Walder Hveger a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Walder Hveger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute, Sivart Krogsriis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joakim Preisel struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Samuel Cobelens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olstrup SIK. After a rather tough play, Øby AC's Vilhelm Hartsteen got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 18thth minute of the game Joakim Preisel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Øby AC's Samuel Cobelens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Frode Poulø hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Samuel Cobelens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Rauffkjær, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joakim Preisel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Cobelens having to interfere. Volmer Schutt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Plovsing in the 33rd minute of play. If Joakim Preisel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joakim Preisel in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Cobelens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and William Rauffkjær made a kick off. Joakim Preisel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Samuel Cobelens made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Joakim Preisel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olstrup SIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Joakim Preisel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Cobelens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joakim Preisel might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuel Cobelens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joakim Preisel ran back to his position shaking his head. Stig Plovsing spun around in front of the goal 65 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Olstrup SIK's goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frode Poulø during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Øby AC booed when Olstrup SIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frode Poulø didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joakim Preisel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William Rauffkjær sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 83 minutes, William Rauffkjær managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olstrup SIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but William Rauffkjær was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sivart Krogsriis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Øby AC's Stig Plovsing sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Volmer Schutt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Esben Hunther hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. A collision led to Olstrup SIK getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Frode Poulø hit a great ball. Volmer Schutt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig Plovsing, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Olstrup SIK players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Øby AC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
