The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Sepp Senderowitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Børge Bligaard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 played minutes, Lund AC's Morgan Elmhøi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Klement Holmby came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lund AC reached it. Manfred Balsing struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Børge Bligaard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trabjærg FC. Manfred Balsing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Børge Bligaard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Lund AC got a freekick which was hit by Morgan Elmhøi. Edmund Dantoft charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manfred Balsing was the one to do the kick off. Klement Holmby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asbjørn Nybroe in the 52nd minute of play. Manfred Balsing took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Børge Bligaard. Børge Bligaard dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Manfred Balsing took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Børge Bligaard to make any attempt to save it. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lund AC's goalkeeper Børge Bligaard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Klement Holmby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Imran Bjargum, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Lund AC's Asbjørn Nybroe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Klement Holmby narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sepp Senderowitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
