If Eyvind Salmi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rugbjærg FV's Tejs Vonnø played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eyvind Salmi in the 23rd minute of play. The long shot by Rune Krogkær in the 27th minute really tested Tejs Vonnø's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eyvind Salmi in the 29th minute of play forced Rugbjærg FV's goalkeeper Tejs Vonnø to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With splendid footwork Eyvind Salmi arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 33rd minute. In the 47th minute there was a penalty for Lejbølle FV. Reinhardt Thomkov stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tejs Vonnø. 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 63rd minute John Kærgaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenn Weel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Manfred Hinskjold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Lejbølle FV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rugbjærg FV:s goal. Kenn Weel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mik Blans in the 78th minute. Mik Blans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Kenn Weel made a huge save. In the 89th minute, Mik Blans fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Lejbølle FV's Leif Hambenberg got a free kick in the 90th minute. John Kærgaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Kenn Weel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 99 played minutes Lejbølle FV got a freekick which was hit by Eyvind Salmi.
