After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Per Nordbjærg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buddum's supporters rose to their feet, but Per Nordbjærg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olaf Wermelin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Buddum's goalkeeper George Snøffer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Bernhard Krægpøth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per Nordbjærg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Olaf Wermelin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With his leg Olaf Wermelin managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Buddum's Per Nordbjærg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 18th minute, Benny Kiecker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Buddum's goal looked a bit too open when Asgar Toxbro came free, but George Snøffer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Lestrup SIK booed when Buddum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ditlef Hedemann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Asgar Toxbro might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over George Snøffer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Asgar Toxbro ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Lestrup SIK booed when Buddum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ditlef Hedemann didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Jack Hytting hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Per Nordbjærg got free with Olaf Wermelin in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes into the match, Buddum's goal looked a bit too open when Asgar Toxbro came free, but George Snøffer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Asgar Toxbro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. George Snøffer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With 42 minutes on the clock, Sivart Skifters commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Per Nordbjærg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Asgar Toxbro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but George Snøffer made a huge save. In the 80th match minute, Lestrup SIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyge Rolfgaard to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes, Buddum's Villy Thenstrup shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olaf Wermelin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Buddum reached it. If Asgar Toxbro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asgar Toxbro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but George Snøffer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Per Nordbjærg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lestrup SIK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
