Marius Rilum hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the game, Ågeby's John Eifel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gregers Scharfenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Eifel in the 13th minute of play forced Vraa's goalkeeper Gregers Scharfenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Vraa getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Leonard Læssøe hit a great ball. When Bertold Højberger fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ågeby's protests and gave Bertold Højberger a yellow card for diving instead. Arvid Thyholt might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tony Markvig. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arvid Thyholt ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karsten Scherff in the 24th minute of play forced Ågeby's goalkeeper Tony Markvig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Markvig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karsten Scherff in the 25th minute of play. In the 29th minute Karsten Scherff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Markvig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregers Scharfenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thorfinn Hagenskjold, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Vraa's Gregers Scharfenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thorfinn Hagenskjold in the 36th minute of play. Tony Markvig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karsten Scherff in the 39th minute of the match. If John Eifel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arvid Thyholt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Tony Markvig when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The wind increased when Karsten Scherff made the kick off in the second half. If Karsten Scherff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tony Markvig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arvid Thyholt's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Vraa's Arvid Thyholt suffered a concussion in the 59th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eberhardt Vadegaard during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Ågeby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eberhardt Vadegaard to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Vraa's Benni Spada broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. John Eifels short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Gregers Scharfenberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thorfinn Hagenskjold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ågeby's Isak Greig got a free kick in the 77th minute. The Vraa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Tony Markvig dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1.
