If Dick Strufve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Morgan Ehrencron fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sørup's protests and gave Morgan Ehrencron a yellow card for diving instead. Dick Strufve struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Preben Thorkelin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blovstrød IF. Dick Strufve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Preben Thorkelin having to interfere. Helge Herm might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Preben Thorkelin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Helge Herm ran back to his position shaking his head. Sørup's Preben Thorkelin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Strufve in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sørup's goalkeeper Preben Thorkelin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dick Strufve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Preben Thorkelin having to interfere. Mikael Kongsnæs took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernest Skotner. Ernest Skotner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Dick Strufve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Preben Thorkelin having to interfere. Ernest Skotner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulrik Klyn in the 39th minute of the match. In the 41stth minute of the game Helge Herm who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sørup's Preben Thorkelin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Helge Herm's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Preben Thorkelin was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Helge Herm made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Dick Strufve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Blovstrød IF's Helge Herm got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Sørup getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Morgan Ehrencron hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Dick Strufve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Helge Herm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute of the match, Helge Herm tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Preben Thorkelin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 63 minutes into the match, Blovstrød IF's Dick Strufve sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Preben Thorkelin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Dick Strufve had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Preben Thorkelin. Sørup's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dick Strufve was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Helge Herm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Preben Thorkelin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dick Strufve in the 73rd minute. If Helge Herm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Dick Strufve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Helge Herm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Preben Thorkelin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dick Strufve, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Bernhard Høstbæk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Preben Thorkelin having to interfere. Preben Thorkelin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helge Herm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Preben Thorkelin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dick Strufve in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle sounded Blovstrød IF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sørup.
