After 15 played minutes Kærende got a freekick which was hit by Alf Gadix. After having played for 17 minutes, Nicolaj Leuenhagen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hougaard FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolaj Leuenhagen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alf Gadix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the game, Kærende's Jan Amager nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erhard Løfting made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The supporters of Hougaard FC booed when Kærende was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timo Tjell didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Marc Pilstrup fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hougaard FC's protests and gave Marc Pilstrup a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Hougaard FC got a freekick which was hit by Marc Pilstrup. 37 minutes into the game, Kærende's Jan Amager nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erhard Løfting made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Hougaard FC's Erhard Løfting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folmer Blixfeldt in the 42nd minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Torleif Esmo was the one to do the kick off. Jan Amager could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Erhard Løfting made a huge save. Erhard Løfting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Gadix, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Jan Amager dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Erhard Løfting, 0-4. Erhard Løfting was a little too slow when Folmer Blixfeldt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 0-5. John Dars hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. When Vagner Urbrand came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Kærende fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vagner Urbrand couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Folmer Blixfeldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erhard Løfting was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Folmer Blixfeldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Erhard Løfting made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Gadix in the 82nd minute of play forced Hougaard FC's goalkeeper Erhard Løfting to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Amager got free with Erhard Løfting in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 91 minutes into the match, Hougaard FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Gadix came free, but Erhard Løfting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kærende's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
