Poul Sigvardt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristjan Alger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Røjle Grizzlies FC's Poul Sigvardt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopold Danmore in the 13th minute of play. Tommy Engelov was a little too slow when Stephan Sortfeldt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. Dorin Andreescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Tommy Engelov made a huge save. In the 26th minute of the match Røjle Grizzlies FC got a corner. Smerup's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Terkild Talayman ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Røjle Grizzlies FC's Amaya Rosendal got a free kick in the 27th minute. Tommy Engelov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorin Andreescu in the 30th minute of the match. Smerup's Tommy Engelov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Smerup from getting a goal against them. Dorin Andreescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Tommy Engelov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute of the match, Öztürk Şems got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tommy Engelov was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Poul Sigvardt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berthel Lindekær, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Kristof Grundorf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Tommy Engelov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Dorin Andreescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Røjle Grizzlies FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorin Andreescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Engelov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd play minute Öztürk Şems came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tommy Engelov. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Rollo Primholdt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute of the match, Kristjan Alger tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Poul Sigvardt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Dorin Andreescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 60 minutes, Öztürk Şems managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Røjle Grizzlies FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Öztürk Şems was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Poul Sigvardt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Kjeldfelt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Røjle Grizzlies FC's Poul Sigvardt got control of the ball when Leopold Danmore tried to sneak it across the goal line. Öztürk Şems blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Engelov having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Dorin Andreescu put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Engelov.
