Laurids Hvenekilde's late challenge caught a Gettrup SIK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laurids Hvenekilde helped the player get up and apologised. Laurids Hvenekilde hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Torjus Solvoll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John-Arne Riise in the 15th minute of the match. In the 19thth minute Hønning's Betinho Beton made a couple of brazen moves and fired away a shot to the left hand side of Gettrup SIK's goalie, Torjus Solvoll, understanding what was about to happen, managed to get hold of the ball just before it went behind the net. Dirch Glerum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keld Popp, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 71 played minutes Hønning got a freekick which was hit by Per Nørbjerg. In the 74th minute, Hønning's Laurids Hvenekilde seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Laurids Hvenekilde the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hønning protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Laurids Hvenekilde had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 74th minute, Laurids Hvenekilde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, Hønning's goalkeeper Dirch Glerum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loui Dyndgaard. In the 81st match minute, Hønning was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Svanström to maneuver through the defense. Zenon Gall scored 1-4 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dirch Glerum, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute Keld Popp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirch Glerum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dirch Glerum was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Absalon Berritsgård showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 93 minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Hønning's goalkeeper Dirch Glerum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loui Dyndgaard. The Hønning fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gettrup SIK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
