Kenneth Strandsgaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Erik Åström in the 36th minute of play. The wind increased when Tomás Azubeli made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Azubeli in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kenneth Strandsgaard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomás Azubeli scored 0-2 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kenneth Strandsgaard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Álvaro Recoba in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
