He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 10 minutes into the game, Dan Weihrich was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Milan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karden FSV the free kick. After a rather tough play, AC Milan's Dan Weihrich got a free kick in the 10th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Karden FSV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AC Milan:s goal. Hilmar Kolberg shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Dennis-Sven Drostel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Kippert having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wolfgang Gerber in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gonzalo Kippert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Erich Bock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Wolfgang Gerber came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Karden FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wolfgang Gerber couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wolfgang Gerber in the 40th minute of play forced AC Milan's goalkeeper Gonzalo Kippert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karden FSV's Tobias Hoffmanns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erich Bock in the 51st minute of play. If Wolfgang Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis-Sven Drostel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Kippert having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Karden FSV got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Boos. 62 minutes into the match, AC Milan's Hilmar Kolberg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Tobias Hoffmanns didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ekkehard Eicker went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ekkehard Eicker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Tobias Hoffmanns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ekkehard Eicker got free with Tobias Hoffmanns in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AC Milan's Gonzalo Kippert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wolfgang Gerber in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of Karden FSV booed when AC Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerd Steckamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in AC Milan's zone, Wolfgang Gerber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonzalo Kippert came out of the goal and Wolfgang Gerber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Wolfgang Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis-Sven Drostel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 95 minutes, Wolfgang Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karden FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wolfgang Gerber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
