Ekkehard Eicker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marvin Opitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacques Aschenberger hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Hilmar Kolberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Herwig Hofstätter. Lindenstruth FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lindenstruth FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Erich Bock 17 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. AC Milan's Erich Bock got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lindenstruth FC's Herwig Hofstätter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Lindenstruth FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 26 minutes, Erich Bock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erich Bock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, Lindenstruth FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ekkehard Eicker fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Erich Bock came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the AC Milan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erich Bock couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the match, AC Milan's Erich Bock sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herwig Hofstätter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ekkehard Eicker got free with Herwig Hofstätter in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ekkehard Eicker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacques Aschenberger to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Marvin Opitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lindenstruth FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marvin Opitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonzalo Kippert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ekkehard Eicker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herwig Hofstätter having to interfere. Marvin Opitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Gonzalo Kippert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Marvin Opitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jacques Aschenberger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Egon Hafner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Erich Bock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herwig Hofstätter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lindenstruth FC's Marvin Opitz got a free kick in the 80th minute. Herwig Hofstätter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ekkehard Eicker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Lindenstruth FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erich Bock came free, but Herwig Hofstätter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 86 minutes, Jacques Aschenberger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lindenstruth FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacques Aschenberger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonzalo Kippert made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Jacques Aschenberger sent off a good shot on target. Herwig Hofstätter came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Milan's Ekkehard Eicker. But to his dismay, Ekkehard Eicker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Ekkehard Eicker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herwig Hofstätter having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ekkehard Eicker in the 96th minute of play forced Lindenstruth FC's goalkeeper Herwig Hofstätter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lindenstruth FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AC Milan.
