A collision led to Hochspeyer FSV getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Rolf Schuster hit a great ball. Lutz Blecken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Zsack in the 8th minute of the match. When Valentin von Waffenstein fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sagemuhle's protests and gave Valentin von Waffenstein a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hochspeyer FSV booed when Sagemuhle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin von Waffenstein didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute Klaus Ahlers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quentin Wieczorek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quentin Wieczorek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klaus Ahlers, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Hagen Bethge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Klaus Ahlers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Quentin Wieczorek having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nils Zsack in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lutz Blecken saved Sagemuhle from getting behind. 39 minutes into the game, Hochspeyer FSV's Rio Gütermann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lutz Blecken made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Rio Gütermann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lutz Blecken read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Hagen Bethge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Quentin Wieczorek was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Klaus Ahlers to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sagemuhle's goal looked a bit too open when Rio Gütermann came free, but Lutz Blecken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 55 minutes of play, Hochspeyer FSV's Rolf Schuster made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lutz Blecken was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gunnar Bruhn during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rio Gütermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pekko Grupe hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Hochspeyer FSV's Takeshi Chakravorty broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Hochspeyer FSV fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Hochspeyer FSV's Nils Zsack looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lutz Blecken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils Zsack, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nils Zsack's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lutz Blecken read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Niclas Mohler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Hagen Bethge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
