Deon Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Ibrügger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Gernot Berntsen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Deon Schmidt was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Deon Schmidt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Artur Ibrügger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deon Schmidt having to interfere. Christian Bullinger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Deon Schmidt made a huge save. 94 minutes into the match, Holweide's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Bullinger came free, but Deon Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Scherndorf FSV's Herwig Dogan pulled a muscle in his back after 94 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Scherndorf FSV made a substitution. Pablo Bausch replaced Herwig Dogan. A collision led to Holweide getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Anselm Nüssle hit a great ball. Scherndorf FSV played a much better game than Holweide and deserved their victory. The Holweide players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
