Denis Keller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Denis Keller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathieu Diers's late challenge caught a Wißgoldingen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathieu Diers helped the player get up and apologised. If Takeshi Schmitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esra Herzke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takeshi Schmitz in the 14th minute of play. Esra Herzke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Takeshi Schmitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Dustin Bickelhaupt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodolfo Quack kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Wißgoldingen's Dustin Bickelhaupt got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Takeshi Schmitz in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esra Herzke saved FC Wiesbaden from getting behind. FC Wiesbaden's Esra Herzke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save FC Wiesbaden from getting a goal against them. If Takeshi Schmitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathieu Diers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dustin Bickelhaupt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esra Herzke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Frederik Seitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Takeshi Schmitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denis Keller to strike the kick off in the second half. Takeshi Schmitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Esra Herzke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Wißgoldingen's Takeshi Schmitz in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Takeshi Schmitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Takeshi Schmitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esra Herzke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. After having played for 67 minutes, Dustin Bickelhaupt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wißgoldingen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dustin Bickelhaupt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Takeshi Schmitz struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Esra Herzke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wißgoldingen. In the 74th minute, Rodolfo Quack hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, Wißgoldingen's Heiko Koczy broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Wißgoldingen's Dustin Bickelhaupt got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dustin Bickelhaupt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esra Herzke having to interfere. Takeshi Schmitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Esra Herzke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Wiesbaden getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Rodolfo Quack hit a great ball. If Denis Keller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The audience was convinced that Takeshi Schmitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esra Herzke was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. A hard shot 93 in the game by Mathieu Diers from a close distance when the talented Josef Spangenberg managed to make a qualified save. Wißgoldingen's players were relieved. Dustin Bickelhaupt struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Esra Herzke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wißgoldingen. There was no doubt that Wißgoldingen were the better team. Wißgoldingen's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
