After a rather tough play, mragowia's Kai Zimmermann got a free kick in the 6th minute. Klemens Aumann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kai Zimmermann struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Jan Kuhn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for mragowia. In the 28th minute, Thorsten Schumm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 32 played minutes mragowia got a freekick which was hit by Kai Zimmermann. 36 minutes into the match, Geisbruch's Thorsten Schumm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marc Blome narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Klemens Aumann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. mragowia's Marc Blome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thorsten Schumm in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Knietzsch in the 45th minute of play forced mragowia's goalkeeper Marc Blome to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Thorsten Schumm ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marc Blome was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thorsten Schumm to strike the kick off in the second half. Thorsten Schumm might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marc Blome. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thorsten Schumm ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in mragowia's zone, Xavier Knietzsch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marc Blome came out of the goal and Xavier Knietzsch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, mragowia's Anton Zielonka got a free kick in the 54th minute. Marc Blome acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Max Kaiser. When Thorsten Schumm came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Geisbruch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thorsten Schumm couldn't finish the play. A hard shot by Max Kaiser from long distance, 93 minutes into the match, got Marc Blome's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Geisbruch walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
