Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when René Pulter took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Manolo Markmann made a precise shot to the right of Alessio Mahler. fc schorndorf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Götz Rahnefeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Alessio Mahler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alessio Mahler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Fricke in the 10th minute of play. fc schorndorf's Alessio Mahler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Fricke in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Helge Kretschmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. fc schorndorf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave T-Merlins the free kick. In the 27th minute, Helge Kretschmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute, Erich Diesterhöft got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erich Diesterhöft recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When T-Merlins's Alessio Fricke in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye fc schorndorf's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alessio Fricke to make the kick off. When Alessio Fricke came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the T-Merlins fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessio Fricke couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erich Diesterhöft during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th match minute, T-Merlins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erich Diesterhöft to maneuver through the defense. Alessio Fricke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessio Mahler having to interfere. If Götz Rahnefeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 64 minutes into the match, T-Merlins's Alessio Fricke sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alessio Mahler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Erich Diesterhöft hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, one of fc schorndorf:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for fc schorndorf. Alessio Fricke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessio Mahler having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Alessio Fricke fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. fc schorndorf's Alessio Mahler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save fc schorndorf from getting a goal against them. Alessio Mahler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessio Fricke in the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio Fricke in the 85th minute of play forced fc schorndorf's goalkeeper Alessio Mahler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute Alessio Fricke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessio Mahler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute of the game, Ramon Grütters landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 95 minutes into the game, Ture Matthias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. fc schorndorf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave T-Merlins the free kick. In the 96th match minute, fc schorndorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ture Matthias to maneuver through the defense. If Ture Matthias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
