The supporters of Gullberna Park Rangers booed when TSV 1860 München was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Bülow didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in TSV 1860 München's zone, Severin Rektor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Faro couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorge Faro to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Achim Gellrich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the game, Marc Wiesenberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TSV 1860 München's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gullberna Park Rangers the free kick. The TSV 1860 München supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gullberna Park Rangers's performance. The match ended with a win for Gullberna Park Rangers.
