Addo Ebbenga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heessergut. Dominic-Simon Holzmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Addo Ebbenga having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Steffen Heuer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the game, Manuel Honold lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Hauke Meling. 17 minutes into the match, Dominic-Simon Holzmann notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Unterhalden FSV's Addo Ebbenga. Addo Ebbenga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronny Langer in the 20th minute of play forced Heessergut's goalkeeper Hauke Meling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Heessergut getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Torsten Frey hit a great ball. Ronny Langer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes Heessergut got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Frey. Unterhalden FSV's Ronny Langer got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Torsten Frey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronny Langer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hauke Meling having to interfere. Hauke Meling made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Manuel Honold sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Heessergut's Hauke Meling got control of the ball when Manuel Honold tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Manuel Honold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Heessergut getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Markus Leuschner hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dominic-Simon Holzmann was the one to do the kick off. Manuel Honold might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hauke Meling. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Honold ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute, Markus Leuschner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Steffen Heuer hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the game, Peer Vogt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peer Vogt hit a great ball. Ronny Langer scored 3-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hauke Meling, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mathis Böttcher hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Rene Polzin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Addo Ebbenga having to interfere. When Dominic-Simon Holzmann came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Heessergut fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominic-Simon Holzmann couldn't finish the play. After 79 minutes, Mathis Böttcher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unterhalden FSV and the Heessergut players grew even worse after the yellow card. Addo Ebbenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
