Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dominik Schmitt started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lauterschwan's goalkeeper Philipp Böckels, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Helmut Finnern showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dierk Siebelt in the 7th minute of the match. After 9 minutes of play, Lauterschwan's Dierk Siebelt made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Helmut Finnern was left in no man's land by his defense there! Friedemann Grooten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Philipp Böckels read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Helmut Finnern made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominik Schmitt in the 20th minute of play. Helmut Finnern showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dierk Siebelt, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Friedemann Grootens short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Philipp Böckels to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 25th minute of the match, Friedemann Grooten got a very nice opportunity to score, but Philipp Böckels was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 25th minute Stefan Roth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philipp Böckels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Heini Andrejewski during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV booed when Lauterschwan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heini Andrejewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stefan Roth got free with Philipp Böckels in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 36 minutes of play, Lauterschwan's Dominik Schmitt made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Helmut Finnern was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stefan Roth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stefan Roth was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Stefan Roth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Roth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philipp Böckels breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Helmut Finnern took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Schmitt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute Stefan Roth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philipp Böckels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Friedemann Grooten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philipp Böckels having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Roth in the 69th minute of play forced Lauterschwan's goalkeeper Philipp Böckels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stefan Roth in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Philipp Böckels prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Friedemann Grooten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Philipp Böckels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Friedemann Grooten struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Philipp Böckels didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV. After 79 played minutes Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV got a freekick which was hit by August Anders. The audience was convinced that Stefan Roth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Philipp Böckels was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. If Friedemann Grooten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Helmut Finnern stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dominik Schmitt's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Niclas Kader's late challenge caught a Wendlingen Am Neckar FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niclas Kader helped the player get up and apologised. 95 minutes into the game, one of Lauterschwan:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Philipp Böckels had in the 97thth minute some difficulties stopping Hauke Kurze's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lauterschwan had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
