A collision led to Wien1886 getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Roswin Göller hit a great ball. Klaus Sachs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gianni Wefing in the 13th minute. In the 14th match minute, Dirkes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jindrich Bisch to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Wien1886's Klaus Sachs got control of the ball when Gianni Wefing tried to sneak it across the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Arthur Ceylan notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Dirkes's Tim Urbanczyk. Tim Urbanczyk was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lüder Sinning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Tim Urbanczyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When %teams%'s Achim Lilleike was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-1 just inside the left pole, 26 minutes into the game. Klaus Sachs was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Gianni Wefing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Achim Lilleike sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lüder Sinning struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Tim Urbanczyk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wien1886. Lüder Sinning's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tim Urbanczyk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Gianni Wefing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Achim Lilleike was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Arthur Ceylan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wien1886's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dirkes the free kick. Klaus Sachs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Achim Lilleike's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Klaus Sachs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achim Lilleike, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Klaus Sachs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gianni Wefing in the 60th minute of the match. If Gianni Wefing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Dirkes getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jindrich Bisch hit a great ball. Wien1886's Arthur Ceylan got his second yellow card of the match in the 72nd minute. The referee ordered Arthur Ceylan off the ground. After 73 played minutes Wien1886 got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Ceylan. A collision led to Wien1886 getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Lüder Sinning hit a great ball. Sievert Pingel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Klaus Sachs. Wien1886's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 80th minute, Roswin Göller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Klaus Sachs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gianni Wefing in the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Dirkes's Gianni Wefing sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Klaus Sachs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 92 played minutes Wien1886 got a freekick which was hit by Hansel Kruczkowski. Klaus Sachs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sievert Pingel in the 93rd minute of play. Gianni Wefing blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Klaus Sachs having to make a save. Achim Lilleike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Klaus Sachs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Wien1886 players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Dirkes from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
