Berno Reinhart stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raphael Hewerer's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Van Lingenshoft FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Hewerer came free, but Berno Reinhart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Hewerer in the 31st minute of play forced Van Lingenshoft FSV's goalkeeper Berno Reinhart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Günther Meibeck came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Van Lingenshoft FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Günther Meibeck couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernst Schlimm in the 53rd minute of play forced Oberschönau's goalkeeper Bernold Lechner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raphael Hewerer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Van Lingenshoft FSV defense, Karl Brendel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Berno Reinhart. The Van Lingenshoft FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Berno Reinhart should have stopped the shot.
