The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ramon Pehlke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Nico Sill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Babisnau defense, Eduard Tiedgen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nico Sill. The Babisnau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nico Sill should have stopped the shot. Philip Büge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ramon Pehlke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Marko Steckamp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Babisnau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wübbenhorst the free kick. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Babisnau! In the 20th minute there was a penalty for Wübbenhorst. Heintje Regitz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nico Sill. 0-2. In the 28th match minute, Babisnau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thorsten Keichler to maneuver through the defense. Nico Sill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Pehlke in the 35th minute of play. Nico Sill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Pehlke in the 40th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Heintje Regitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Wübbenhorst's zone, Florian Hesmert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Knappe came out of the goal and Florian Hesmert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute Sascha Carstensen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Knappe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nico Sill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduard Tiedgen, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramon Pehlke to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Babisnau's zone, Eduard Tiedgen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nico Sill came out of the goal and Eduard Tiedgen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ramon Pehlke came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Wübbenhorst fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramon Pehlke couldn't finish the play. Eduard Tiedgen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Nico Sill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramon Pehlke struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Nico Sill didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wübbenhorst. Nico Sill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lothar Jucknischke in the 61st minute of play. Nico Sill was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Eduard Tiedgen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eduard Tiedgen really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Ramon Pehlke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Nico Sill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Babisnau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thorsten Keichler to maneuver through the defense. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Babisnau! After a rather tough play, Babisnau's Peer Balke got a free kick in the 84th minute. If Ramon Pehlke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nico Sill stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramon Pehlke's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Peer Balke kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the game, Thorsten Keichler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Babisnau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wübbenhorst the free kick. A collision led to Babisnau getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Thorsten Keichler hit a great ball. Nico Sill acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 95th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Heintje Regitz. Eduard Tiedgen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Sill having to interfere. When the match was over Wübbenhorst could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Babisnau throughout the match.
