In the 9th minute Rainer Rill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Hartnick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rurik Lukas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sean Hartnick read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Neunhof's zone, Eggert Brücken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hagen Landgrebe came out of the goal and Eggert Brücken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Burkhardt Beul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Sean Hartnick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rainer Rill got free with Sean Hartnick in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hagen Landgrebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denny Brockmüller in the 33rd minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rainer Rill to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Steherberg's goal looked a bit too open when Rainer Rill came free, but Sean Hartnick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56thth minute of the game Falko Warnst who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Neunhof's Hagen Landgrebe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 57th minute, Burkhardt Beul left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Neunhof fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 62nd minute Rainer Rill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Hartnick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Denny Brockmüller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 66 minutes, Falko Warnst made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Neunhof's Hagen Landgrebe tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 70 minutes, Denny Brockmüller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steherberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denny Brockmüller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Neunhof's Rainer Rill sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sean Hartnick narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Eggert Brücken fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Steherberg's protests and gave Eggert Brücken a yellow card for diving instead. Burkhardt Beul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean Hartnick having to interfere. Denny Brockmüller who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Hagen Landgrebe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascal Griesbeck in the 84th minute of play forced Neunhof's goalkeeper Hagen Landgrebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascal Griesbeck was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 86th minute. Steherberg's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Falko Warnst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rainer Rill scored 2-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sean Hartnick, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
