When Benno Hagedorn fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bolanderhof's protests and gave Benno Hagedorn a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, Hellmut Kliesch sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bolanderhof's Hakon Ries didn't even have to move. Bolanderhof's Hakon Ries played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wolf-Jürgen Kieß in the 9th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hannes Peelen during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Plagt's Hannes Peelen got a free kick in the 10th minute. Tim Scherpp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Hakon Ries made a huge save. The supporters of FC Plagt booed when Bolanderhof was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philippe Benesch didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Bolanderhof's goal looked a bit too open when Wolf-Jürgen Kieß came free, but Hakon Ries reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wolf-Jürgen Kieß in the 20th minute of play forced Bolanderhof's goalkeeper Hakon Ries to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnold Klähr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthias Paul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Crispin Ertel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakon Ries having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Wolf-Jürgen Kieß's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hakon Ries was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 29th match minute, FC Plagt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Ducke to maneuver through the defense. Balthasar Schwang was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Wolf-Jürgen Kieß dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hakon Ries, 2-0. Tim Scherpp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Hakon Ries tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Klauß hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Crispin Ertel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Hakon Ries successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Hakon Ries made an important save on a dangerous shot by Crispin Ertel in the 43rd minute. Philippe Benesch hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Hakon Ries stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wolf-Jürgen Kieß's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The audience was convinced that Gunnar Haskamp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnold Klähr was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
Crispin Ertel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th match minute, Bolanderhof was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benno Hagedorn to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Philippe Benesch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Crispin Ertel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Hakon Ries tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hakon Ries showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolf-Jürgen Kieß, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gunnar Haskamp got free with Arnold Klähr in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wolf-Jürgen Kieß's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hakon Ries read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Matthias Paul reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arnold Klähr. The goal made the score 2-1. After 71 minutes, Gunnar Haskamp made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. FC Plagt's Arnold Klähr tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hakon Ries came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Plagt's Crispin Ertel. But to his dismay, Crispin Ertel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. After 84 minutes Bolanderhof's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hellmut Kliesch who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, FC Plagt's Tim Scherpp got a free kick in the 87th minute. After 96th play minutes Wolf-Jürgen Kieß shot 4-2, a short shot which went by Hakon Ries and just under the crossbar into goal. FC Plagt's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
