Hagen Holzner came out of the goal and Laurenz Kastner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laurenz Kastner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hagen Holzner having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Hänsel in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hagen Holzner saved Thannseidl FSV from getting behind. Christian Bothenhain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Hänsel in the 35th minute of play forced Thannseidl FSV's goalkeeper Hagen Holzner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38thth minute of the game Laurenz Kastner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thannseidl FSV's Hagen Holzner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lutger Stuchtey during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Thannseidl FSV getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Lutger Stuchtey hit a great ball. Laurenz Kastner scored 0-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hagen Holzner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hristo Hönig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Laurenz Kastner who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Hagen Holzner when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Laurenz Kastner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Gerlenhofen booed when Thannseidl FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Pilz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gerlenhofen's Victor Hänsel in 58 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Hagen Holzner guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 61st minute, Victor Hänsel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Laurenz Kastner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Thannseidl FSV's Guido Pilz got a free kick in the 64th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Laurenz Kastner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gerlenhofen's supporters rose to their feet, but Laurenz Kastner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hagen Holzner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 68 minutes into the match, Thannseidl FSV's goalkeeper Hagen Holzner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laurenz Kastner. Ruprecht Behrmann kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Gero Stötzer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Bothenhain in the 79th minute of the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Laurenz Kastner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gerlenhofen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laurenz Kastner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christian Bothenhain struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Gero Stötzer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thannseidl FSV. Laurenz Kastner succeeded in the game's 89th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. 94 minutes into the match, Laurenz Kastner notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Thannseidl FSV's Hagen Holzner. Hagen Holzner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gerlenhofen's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
