Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Arnold Antons started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 9th minute Arnold Antons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerard Konieczny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Keanu Kamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Falk Jack fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored kÖLN's protests and gave Falk Jack a yellow card for diving instead. Falk Jack hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Jörg Griesbaum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Ehrstein, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 21 minutes into the match, kÖLN's goalkeeper Jörg Griesbaum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Markus Büren. Jörg Griesbaum made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Markus Büren sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute, Herwig Stube hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in kÖLN's zone, Markus Büren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörg Griesbaum came out of the goal and Markus Büren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jörg Griesbaum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Palle Funk in the 28th minute of play. Jörg Griesbaum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Ehrstein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Scharrel FC's Gerard Konieczny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herwig Stube in the 30th minute of play. Jörg Griesbaum made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Markus Büren sent off a good shot on target. 38 minutes into the game, Markus Büren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jörg Griesbaum was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 40th minute, Nikolaus Dulson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nikolaus Dulson kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodolfo Ehrstein was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to kÖLN getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Charles Appelt hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Arnold Antons ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerard Konieczny was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a little luck, Scharrel FC's Gerard Konieczny got control of the ball when Arnold Antons tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th minute Keanu Kamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörg Griesbaum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Palle Funk in the 80th minute of play forced kÖLN's goalkeeper Jörg Griesbaum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jörg Griesbaum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Büren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the game, Meinolf Sparla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. kÖLN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scharrel FC the free kick. In the 89th match minute, kÖLN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herwig Stube to maneuver through the defense. Rodolfo Ehrstein charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Ehrstein the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of kÖLN booed when Scharrel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Ehrstein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Scharrel FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
