Caspar Kraus started the match with the kick off. If Gottlieb Mouratidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Bertram kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. A collision led to Großensaal getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Hugo Bertram hit a great ball. Folke Petsch took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sirius Plank. Großensaal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alf Knoop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sirius Plank having to interfere. Gottlieb Mouratidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Sirius Plank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 24 minutes, Gottlieb Mouratidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sierße FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gottlieb Mouratidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute of the game, Ted Grassow landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Per Noack's late challenge caught a Sierße FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Per Noack helped the player get up and apologised. Alf Knoop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 37 minutes, Gottlieb Mouratidis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sierße FSV and the Großensaal players grew even worse after the yellow card. 40 minutes into the match, Sierße FSV's Alf Knoop sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sirius Plank narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Knoop in the 42nd minute of play forced Großensaal's goalkeeper Sirius Plank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Winfried Olowka hit a great freekick 49 minutes into the match. Folke Petsch was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 49th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alf Knoop to strike the kick off in the second half. Fedor Jonas charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fedor Jonas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 59th minute of the match Marco Köller sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Falk Kress skillfully saved the ball. After 61 played minutes Großensaal got a freekick which was hit by Winfried Olowka. Sirius Plank made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Alf Knoop sent off a good shot on target. 64 minutes into the match, Alf Knoop notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Großensaal's Sirius Plank. Sirius Plank was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 70th minute, Alf Knoop made a precise shot to the right of Sirius Plank. Großensaal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Barge in the 75th minute of play forced Sierße FSV's goalkeeper Falk Kress to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alf Knoop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Großensaal's goalkeeper Sirius Plank had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fedor Jonas. Fedor Jonas might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sirius Plank. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fedor Jonas ran back to his position shaking his head. If Alf Knoop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Alf Knoop got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clemens Elser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Sirius Plank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Sierße FSV could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Großensaal throughout the match.
